I would love to hear all your responses (which were all aces, I’m sure) every time you were told ‘but you’re pretty!’ or ‘you have such a great personality!’ or some such. I’ve lived with that for about 20 years now (I’m 37, and realised by the time I’d started dating that I wasn’t going to find love/companionship based on my looks), and after trying my best to let my personality shine, I’m now single and happier and have been for almost four years. Don’t see that changing either. ☺ Women like yourself help me believe in a better world, though, so thank you.
