Sarah, thank you for writing this out. I found such perspective and so much hope for my life, reading about yours. I’m Indian and if you’ve heard anything about how women are treated here, you know most of my story. Add to that patriarchal men who thought it perfect to use me and my resources till it suited them, and that’s me in a nutshell.

I’ve chosen to dedicate my life to saving kittens and rescue cats and work full time at the local SPCA as a volunteer.

I have also chosen to be alone, in light of my past, and reading about women like yourself, wise, smart, capable, experienced and…happy, just reaffirms my faith in the life I’ve chosen to lead. So, thank you. ☺
